Industrial Engineering

Industrial engineers are the real mangers of projects. They consider and come up with the most efficent ways to use the basic factors of projects. These factors usally include the people, energy, information, machines, and material. Industrial engineers design systems for managing and aiding in the cost and finacial status of projects, the distribution of goods and services, and many other types of systems. 

Industiral engineering is the third hightest disipline employment wise, in 2008 there were about 214,800 out of 1.6 million engineering jobs .

A staring industial engineer with a bachelor's degree was an average of $58,358 in 2008, and the average salary for an industrial engineer was $73,820 in 2008.

Industrial engineering is expected to have a growth of 14% in the next decade. They will be needed to find even more efficent ways to reduce cost, delay, and waste. They will also be needed to increase productivity, but many also will leave the ocupation for management since industrial engineering is very similar to management.
